Privileged Motions Are the highest ranking motions Not debatable Must be disposed of immediately Pertain to convenience/comfort Adjourn, Recess, Question of privilege, Call for orders of the day

Subsidiary Motions Second highest ranking motion Applied to a motion Must be acted upon before main motion Lay on the table, Previous question, Limit debate, Postpone definitely, Postpone indefinitely, Refer to committee, Amend,

Incidental Motions Arise out of the question (motion) Must be decided before you go on Point of order, Appeal the decision of the chair, Suspend the rules, Object to the consideration, Divide the question, Call for the question, Nominate, Request (parliamentary inquiry, information, withdraw a motion, etc.)

Unclassified Motions Take from the table, Reconsider, Rescind
