Play your PART - Pressure Measure tire pressure monthly Use a good quality tire gauge Factors affecting tire pressure include: –Dramatic temperature swings –Extreme temperatures –Carrying a heavy load

Measure Pressure Monthly Step 1: Find recommended pressure on information placard Step 2: Measure pressure when the car has been stationary

Measure Pressure Monthly Step 3: Remove valve cap Press tire gauge onto valve Take pressure reading Replace valve cap Repeat steps on each tire

Measure Pressure Monthly Step 4: Add air to achieve recommended pressure Do not drive on seriously under-inflated tires

Play your PART - Alignment Poor alignment causes: –Uneven tire wear –Handling problems –Increased fuel consumption Check alignment annually or every 25,000 km

Play your PART - Rotation Rotate tires to: –Minimize wear –Prolong tire life –Reduce the risk of sudden tire failure Rotate tires every 10,000 km

Play your PART - Tread Check tire treads for signs of wear –If wear bar is exposed, tire must be replaced Try the penny test
