Bitmap and Vector Graphics Bitmaps Made from a series of small dots. Like graph paper with squares filled in to form an image.
4
Bitmap and Vector Graphics What’s the problem? When bitmaps are enlarged – you lose quality.
5
Bitmap and Vector Graphics What’s the problem? Cartoons and GIF animations become pixelated – this means you can see the outline of the squares used to make the picture.
6

Bitmap and Vector Graphics Vector Graphics Vector graphics are stored in the computer using the mathematical information about the lines, curves, colours etc. Most windows clipart (with a WMF file extension) is a vector graphic. AutoShapes are also vector graphics.
