5 How do I get an MSPE? Please provide the following: 1. Email request – REQUIRED! 2. MSPE Info Form – REQUIRED! 3. 7 Why can’t you add materials received after 5/1 if the MSPE’s can’t be read until 11/1? 1. Ensures all 2010 Match participants have an MSPE posted to ERAS by 11/1. 2. Provides time for you review it and make any changes. 3. Approximately 700 MSPE’s will be written for the 2010 Match.

9 I’m a 10 grad, but am not in the 10 Match. Does the timetable apply to me? Sort of. MSPE’s are written based on grad date, NOT Match participation date. Sort of. 11 When will my MSPE be sent to ERAS? 1. MSPE’s will be sent to ERAS beginning October 1, NOT November 1. 2. Participants in the SF Match or CARMS must advise us of submission deadlines so we can prioritize your MSPE accordingly.

14 Not that I’ll have any, but tell me about negative comments on my evals. 1. The MSPE is an objective evaluation. 2. Comments from Failed, Incomplete, and Withdrawn rotations will be on your MSPE. 3. If you get a C, qualification must be provided. 4. Electives have more latitude, but are not immune. 5. If a negative comment appears more than once, it will likely be included. If it’s isolated, it’s more likely to be removed. 6. Appeals can be made, but may not be granted.

15 I’m applying to more than one specialty. Can I have more than one MSPE written? No. The MSPE is generic with regard to specialty. Only one is written for each student.

16 Will you send my transcript to ERAS? 1.
