5 Introduction This PowerPoint report represents the main body of findings of the second wave of the GlobeScan Radar 2011, focusing on issues and reputation. The findings detailed here are based on face-to-face, online (for Japan only), and telephone surveys with nationally representative samples of, in most cases, about 1,000 adults in each of 24 countries (n=23,566). Some urban-only surveying was conducted in certain developing countries, following generally accepted research standards in each country. The polling was carried out between June and September 2011. Within-country sample error for questions asked of half of sample ranges from +/- 2.8 to 4.9 percent, 19 times out of 20. Fuller details of sample size, fieldwork dates, and research institutes for each country are included at the end of this document. All figures in the charts are expressed in percentages, unless otherwise noted. Some questions were asked of half of sample; global averages are not always based on 24 countries as some countries did not ask all questions.
