3 Introduction In this presentation, I will introduce some activities that meet the Ohio Standards for the sixth grade. My class “travels” around the world, so these activities fit our travels throughout the year.

4 American Heritage Activities 1.Create a multi-tier time line for all of the people that we visit on our trip. The tiers will be divided into the following categories: the arts, sports, science and inventors 2.Analyze Beatrix Potter’s life and the causes that led her to become a writer and illustrator.

5 American Heritage Activities (cont.) 3. Unit on the Renaissance and study how the people lived during that era. 4. Examine William Shakespeare’s influence on the world through literature. 5.Read The Diary of Anne Frank and compare it to secondary sources of World War II.
