Limés Limés is a small village of 700 inhabitants situated at 3 kilometers from Cangas del Narcea. It is on the banks of the Luiña river. It belongs to the Limés parish, which is made up of other villages such as Castro, Villarino, Puenticiella, Pixán, Moral and Fonceca. It is also made up of several neighbourhoods such as Santiago, Cristo, Cudixial, Cuatro Calles, Real, Barzaniellas and Pontón.

Festivals The festivity of El Cristo de la Salud is celebrated in the last Sunday of August. There is an image of the Christ in the chapel of the neighbourhood named after Him. There is also another church, which is the main one. It is of Romanesque style and it is dedicated to Santa María.

School Limés school is the headquarters of the United Rural School, known as CRA, Río Cibea. Children study there until the sixth year of Primary school. Currently, there are only 13 students studying there.

Tourism In the last few years, four rural houses have been opened in Limés. One is a palace from the 16th century built by the Queipo de Llano family, known as the Palace of Ardaliz. There is also a two star hotel, known as Hotel La Casilla, which is also a refurbished building, but of more recent times.

Cattle market The cattle market in Limés belongs to the council. Local fairs are celebrated every month and some at national level several times a year. Wine Cellars There are also the facilities of the Narcea wine cellars, which were founded in 2003 by a group of residents of Cangas del Narcea in order to promote local wine.
