Plants and living things Back to Overview This unit reminds students that plants are living things and introduces them to their reproduction, feeding and breathing processes

Understanding of plants as living things Introduction to the reproductive process of a plant and the reproductive organs in the flower: Pistil (stigma, style and ovary) and Stamen (anther and filament) Introduction to some terms related to reproduction: pollination, fertilization, and germination Understanding how plants breathe and make their own food Back to Overview

Learners will: Use simple structures in the present simple tense to communicate Be introduced to the passive voice in the present (it’s formed, it’s called…) Learn the names of the parts of a flower: pistil, stigma, style, stamen, anther and filament Learn the names of their reproductive process ( pollination, fertilization, germination) Back to Overview
