7. Sustainability Guidelines: Implementation Stormwater Management Purpose: This guideline limits disruption and pollution of natural water flows by managing stormwater run-off. Guideline: Encourage integrated stormwater management planning: treat stormwater runoff on-site through the use of bio- swales and landscape plantings encourage the use of green roofs, permeable pavers and other strategies to reduce impermeable surface area consider the potential to store and re-use rainwater on site for landscape irrigation.
