- Difference between the two accents - Tsugaru accent is famous as a difficult one in Japan. People other than native speaker cannot to understand means by Tsugaru accent. This accent has some funny features. - What about a Tsugaru accent ? - Would rather Nanbu accent like standard Japanese. Because, Nanbu accent has more honorific language than Tsugaru accent.

- Expression of Tsugaru accent - Tsugaru accent include part of Ainu. Ex) 「ちゃぺ」 /t∫aepe/ → 「ねこ」 (cat) 「ばっけ」 /bake/ → 「ふきのとう」 (a butterbur) There pronunciations are not distinct. [shi] and [su] [chi] and [tsu] [zi] and [zu] Ex) 「すずこ」 /sudzuko/ → 「すじこ」 (salted salmon roe) In many cases, the second and fourth column of the kana syllabary is voiced. [ka], [ki], [ku], [ke], [ko] → [ga], [gi], [gu], [ge], [go] [ta], [ti], [tsu], [te], [to] → [da], [zi], [zu], [de], [do]

Oh, are they your friends, aren’t you? Coming here.) B 「んだ。へばわー行ぐはんで。ひゃーな。」 (Yes. So I’m going now. See you later.) A 「おー、へば。」 (Bye.)
