The “r” sound  In the movie at 0:44 the “r” sound is talked about.  In this accent the r is only pronounced when it is before a vowel.  Say normally, Are green cards brighter?  Green is said normally, the “r” is before the vowel. However in cards the “r” is after the vowel. So say cards with no r.  Say the words

4. Vowel sounds “uh” and “oi”  At 1:07 in the movie they talk about the vowel sounds “uh” and “oi”  These sounds become one. Don’t go overboard.  Say “ he sang the first verse with his beautiful voice.”  The vowel sound in verse and voice sound the same.

5. The “th” and the “t” sound replaced with a d  At 1:51 in the movie the “th” replaced is talked about.  It is common for that sound to be pronuced with a d.  Say that, say dat.  Say there, say dere.  Say aftermath, say aftermad.  Say misthought, say misdought.
