2. I started by collecting flowers from different trees and flowers in my neigborhood. After removing the stamens I made slides by rubbing them in glycerine.

3. Most of the samples yeilded either poor amounts of pollen, or were uninteresting to look at. Surprisingly my best samples came from an unlikely source.

4. “Bee pollen” collected by honey makers and sold as a nutritional supplement yielded many of my best pictures. Unfortunately it is impossible to know what flower each grain came from
