1 Peoplesoft 9.0 Campus Solutions Features and Enhancements Bundle #35
Kickoff Webinar Thursday, November 6, 2pm

2  To provide a high level overview.
Purpose To inform.   To provide a high level overview. The purpose of this meeting is to inform you of the pending software Bundle #35 update to iStar PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0. 2. By viewing a high level overview of the project, you will be able to determine how it may affect your areas of responsibility so you can plan accordingly. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the various parts of the update to decide what training materials and communications you may need to make to your staff and constituents.  To give you time to prepare (training, communication).

3  New software features
What is a Bundle? PeopleSoft delivers application software packages called “bundles” four times per year (quarterly). A bundle release contains four elements:  New software features  Capability enhancements   Fixes for known issues  Regulatory compliance items

4 Delivery Continuous Delivery Model (CDM)
Sequential application on an ongoing basis Implement new functionality to meet immediate needs Institutions no longer have to rely on costly, disruptive major upgrades CDM customers must be on the same software release All updates must be applied in sequential order Bundle 35 is a prerequisite for Bundle 36 For bundle delivery, PeopleSoft uses the Continuous Delivery Model requiring sequential application of the provided software updates on an ongoing basis. This methodology is designed to enable institutions to access and implement new functionality to meet immediate needs, such as Financial Aid regulations while migrating gradually to the infrastructure they may need to leverage newer, more robust and flexible technologies. In the past, PeopleSoft delivered major upgrades to Campus Solutions costing millions of dollars to campuses nationwide to implement. The more agile Continuous Delivery Model enables institutions to move away from reliance on more costly, disruptive major upgrades.

5 Success Criteria/ Benefits
 Campus Solutions will be up to date on releases, features, and enhanced capabilities  102 various software fixes corrected across the modules  Financial Aid will be within regulatory compliance  Campus Solutions will be ready for the application of Bundle 36

6 Assumptions  PeopleSoft will continue to deliver software updates each quarter  Enterprise Applications will continue to install the bundles  End users will participate in the Bundle install projects to ensure the software fixes and new capabilities meet LSCS standards and business processes  Business owners will communicate changes to staff and constituents
