The coy lady was too quite to flirt with the young men. Coy – reserved, shy or modest 3. The spineless man had a supple personality that could be swayed by anyone with a strong opinion. Supple – easily bent; pliant 4. Often divorced couples will have discreet conversations when in front of their children. Discreet – tactful; diplomatic 5. Most nurses have a benign personality that puts their patients at ease. Benign – of kind and gentle disposition

3 6. When faced with difficulties you must persevere towards your goal. Persevere – steady persistence in adhering to a course of action; a brief, or a purpose 7. The malice was clear on the man’s face as he attacked his tormentor. Malice – a desire to harm others or to see others suffer 8. Students often feel daunted when they are forced to face a challenge for the first time. Daunted – discouraged 9. The cantankerous teacher would often glare at her students for not bringing their books to class. Cantankerous - disagreeable 10. The king would often bequeath all of his fortune to his oldest son. Bequeath – to pass (something) on to another; to hand down
