Ethics: Definition Ethics are a set of principles of right conduct. Ethics seeks to resolve questions dealing with human morality—concepts such as good and evil, right and wrong, and justice and crime. The word “ethics” comes from the Greek word Ethos, meaning character.

Gastric Bypass Surgeries A group of similar operations that first divides the stomach into a small upper pouch and a much larger lower pouch and then re-arranges the small intestine to connect to both. Surgeons have developed several different ways to reconnect the intestine. The surgery leads to a drastic reduction in the functional volume of the stomach, accompanied by an altered physiological and physical response to food.
