1 Peter 1:13-16 13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Leviticus 11:44-45 44 For I am the L ORD your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 45 For I am the L ORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

Genesis 1:26-27 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Romans 8:29 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 3:18 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

from separated to separated ARE WE MAKING THE TRANSITION ?
7
FROM BEING SEPARATED FROM G OD Our sins come between us and God – Isa. 59:1-2 In our sins, we are hopeless aliens and strangers. Christ broke down that wall of separation – Eph. 2:11-13 In our sins, we are unclean. No unclean person has any inheritance in the kingdom of God – Eph. 5:3-7 In our sins, we are darkness. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all – Eph. 5:8-14 (cf. 1 John 1:5-7)
8
FROM BEING SEPARATED FROM G OD Jesus Christ died to reconcile us to God – Eph. 2:14-18 We were once alienated and enemies, but it pleased God to reconcile us to Him – Col. 1:20-23 He reconciled us while we were still enemies – Rom. 5:6-11 He implores us to be reconciled to Him – 2 Cor. 5:16-21

TO BEING SEPARATED TO G OD Having now been reconciled, we must live separated unto God – cf. 2 Tim. 2:20-21 One who is separated unto God will have a change of fellowship – cf. 2 Cor. 6:11-7:1 Paul thought of himself as one separated to the gospel of God – Rom. 1:1-2 (cf. Acts 13:2; Gal. 1:15-16) Like our High Priest, we must be separated unto God for the work He appoints to us – Heb. 7:26-28 (cf. Heb. 9:11-23) Have we realized the blessing of being separated unto God? – cf. Luke 6:22-23

Matthew 13:47-50 47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, 48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
11
Matthew 25:32-46 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
12
Matthew 25:32-46 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
13
Matthew 25:32-46 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ 44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
