5 1-1 Initial Set Up Flow Step 1 : Initialisation <- Refer to Chapter 2. After installing the necessary optional cards, initialise all of the setting (with factory default settings). Step 2 : Easy Setup with Web MC <- Refer to Chapter 3. Web Maintenance Console (Web MC) is designed to serve as an overall system programming reference for the PBX. * No specific tools (software) are required. Standard Web browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozila Firefox) can be used. When you log in to Web Maintenance Console for a PBX that is in its initialised state with factory default settings, the Easy Setup Wizard for that PBX will launch automatically. This slide describes how to set the system up for the initial launch. The initial setup can be considered in two steps. (7)In Step 1, initialise the PBX. (16)In Step 2, configure the system programming. This chapter describes the Easy Setup procedure which is used to set up the mandatory settings required for the PBX. Each step will be explained in the next chapter onwards. The Easy Setup is used to set up the mandatory settings required for the PBX. The detail items which are not included in the Easy Setup can be set with Detail-setup. (2nd. Login Onwards. Refer to the next slide.) * Regarding the Detail-setup, refer to the “Web Maintenance console” part or each detail part. 5 5

Location Setting (PBX type of the main unit, etc.) (1/2) Select a PBX type, Suffix Code and Area. - There are 2 kinds of "PBX Types". Master : Select for a PBX that will be registered as the Master unit of One-look network. Also select for a stand-alone PBX that will not be used in a One-look network. Slave : Select for a PBX that will be registered as a Slave unit of a One-look network. Select a PBX Type. (Master or Slave) 1 2 Select a "Suffix Code" from the drop-down list. *1 Select an "Area" from the drop-down list. *1 3 ->"Area": "PT LCD Language" It is important to select the correct Suffix/Country settings so that the correct default tones, emergency dial and other country specific data are set automatically. 4 Click "Next". *1 When you change the value, refer to the next slide. 16 16

17 3-2 Launching the Easy Setup Wizard (3)
Location Setting (PBX type of the main unit, etc.) (2/2) If “Suffix Code” or “Area” is changed from its default value, you will be prompted to restart the PBX so that the changes can take effect. 1 Click “OK“ to restart the PBX. Even if you restart the PBX, the Easy Setup Wizard is not completed. After the PBX restarts, start the Web MC and log-in again. The Easy Setup Wizard will launch again. Configure them as required. 3 "IP address for the DSP cards" By default, the DSP Cards use DHCP to obtain an IP address, however static addresses can also be assigned. When not using a DHCP server, specify a static IP address for each item. When using a DHCP server, check “Obtain DNS Server address automatically” and “Obtain DSP IP address automatically”. You can select “Obtain an IP address automatically” for the PBX IP address (LAN port of the main unit), however, we recommend a static IP address for the PBX IP address. 4 Click "Next" . * When “Obtain xxx automatically” is selected, the boxes will turn grey and the IP address information will be assigned automatically by the DHCP server. 19 19
