HGA1C: What is it?? The A1C is the average of the blood sugar over a 2-3 month time period. The A1C measures the amount of sugar that attaches to protein in the red blood cell.

ADA recommends keeping glucose in control The ADA recommends keeping the glucose levels between 80 and 120 pre-prandial (prior to meals). Levels should be 90-130 2 hours post- prandial.
