Managed by the South-West Learning Partnership (Fermanagh, Omagh and East Tyrone Colleges). Aims to establish an ICT based business support framework assisting SME’s in Care, Beauty, Hairdressing, Tourism and Hospitality.

Border Corridor Digital Economy Network ICBAN Capacity Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) - Undergraduate project-based support for small businesses. Building Bridges for Border Businesses (2004-2006) - Fermanagh College in co-operation with Cavan IT to create a crossborder framework of support, guidance and training for retail small businesses in Fermanagh and Cavan.

Centre Without Walls (CWW) Project Lead Partner - NWIFHE Provision of ICT training in the Strabane district (Approx. 2200 project participants) Over 80% of the trainees were aged over 25 Over 40% had no formal qualifications prior to commencing CWW training Highly successful (received awards such as regional national training award & Irish News connecting adults awards)

Border Corridor Digital Economy Network Outputs from Northwest Workshop Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is key Mistrust across the sector to discuss and share project ideas – causes overlap Lack of communication on the success and failure of projects on both sides of border Community unaware of up-to-date training / upskilling options in the NWCBR Key decision makers in the NWCBR needed to ensure buy-in and success of pilots in BCDEN Crossborder trust building and knowledge sharing through a face-to-face meeting as a key starting point
