BRAZILIAN FORESTS Brazil has the largest tropical forest area (≈ ⅓ ) and holds the largest biodiversity on the planet. Brazilian forests account for 520 million ha. Plantations forests occupy 7.4 million ha. Forest area per capita 2.7 ha.
