3 FGV: origin FGV is a higher education institution, founded in 1944, to train qualified personnel for the administration of Brazilian’s public and private sectors. It was the first Brazilian institution to offer public and private administration undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as graduate programs in economics psychology, accounting and education.

10 IBRE: Instituto Brasileiro de Economia Brazilian Institute of Economics: Produces macroeconomics statistics and applied economics research. INDEXES – Pioneer in calculating Brazilian GDP. – Its IGP (General Price Index), created in 1947, was the Brazilian official inflation index for many years. – IGP is currently used as index of debts owed by States to the Federal Government and to correct the price of some products and services, such as electric power supply. – Three types of agricultural price surveys, on land price (sale and leasing), on inputs used in agricultural production, and on agricultural products. – Real Estate Market Indicators. – Many other indexes to monitor and help economic sectors or specific product
