Benefits of Participating in the Assessor and Moderator Forum Some of the benefits of participating in the forum: sharing examples of good practice discussing industry concerns about assessment processes collaborating on the development of assessment protocols or principles comparing assessment practices identifying practical issues for the conduct of assessment in different industry environments (and related solutions), e.g. hazards, confidentiality, differences in materials, equipment and processes, team situations (collaboration), need to maintain efficiency of production.” ANTA 2004: Assessor Networks in Action

The Function of the Steering Committee The Committee will: Provide a forum for voicing common stakeholder needs to INSETA; Promote collaborative working relationships with INSETA, stakeholders, providers, subject matter experts, professional bodies and other relevant stakeholders as regards to assessment and moderation of learner achievements; Create a proactive awareness of developments locally in the fields of assessments and moderations, education and training and any other relevant topics; Advise INSETA on emerging developments, trends and changes within the sector

...continue Examine any matter falling within the scope of the Committee’s areas of responsibility that has been referred to it Advise INSETA on implementation and review of policies and procedures for assessments and moderations, where these have been referred to it by INSETA Advise INSETA on researched best practices of assessments and moderations systems, where these have been requested by INSETA Act as an advisory and reference forum for INSETA on assessments and moderations, as and when required Arrange and manage the Assessor and Moderator Forum for the region in consultation with INSETA Propose topics and speakers for the Forum Propose a membership process for the Forum
