3 Iago’s Motives Iago is jealous of Othello “And it is thought abroad that `twixt my sheets He’s done my office. I know not if’t be true But I, for mere suspicion in that kind, Will do as if for surety” – Iago Iago’s knows of Othello’s vulnerability and this is used to corrupt Othello

4 Iago manipulates Othello “O beware, my lord, of jealousy! It is the green eyed monster, which doth mock The meat it feeds on.” – Iago “Think’st thou I’d make a life of jealousy” – Othello

8 Othello’s final speech States that he wants to be remembered as someone that was confused and not jealous. Reflects on his service to the Venetian state while emphasising his status as an outsider. Believes that loving desdemona too much is what led to his lack of judgement Manages to regain his dignity and the respect of the audience.
