5.  When we recognise teenage neglect we need to make a child protection referral

6. Our roles include direct help and raising awareness. Effective teams have the following characteristics:  ‘co-location to co-participation’  time  leadership  team-building  shared protocols

7. 6 point plan:  Know and agree what neglect is  Understand the causes – ie the assessment triangle  Understand the consequences  Sort out what agency is doing what  Explore what interventions might help  Reflect and evaluate
