4. Keep them different…. Now add adverb openings to sentences 1 and 5. Eg suspiciously, happily, slowly…. The teacher was a bit hyperactive. 5. Without wanting to be biased, the teacher thought that the class were fantastic.

5. Mix it up! Lastly, add a simile opening to sentences 4 and 6. Eg. Like a…. Or As… as a… The students were looking forward to getting positive phone calls but the students realised that it was going to be lots of hard work. 6. 7. Homework 1. On 8 cards, write 8 sentences (one per card) that describe the thing in your coursework title. Write out the sentences as a paragraph 3 times, each paragraph should have a different possible order of sentence types.
