Summary of 2010 in Bedfordshire January-February cold. Coldest UK winter since 1979. Snow across Bedfordshire in early and late January. March sunnier and drier than average. Last frosts of winter. April very dry. Ash clouds from Icelandic volcano gave us great sunsets. June warm and sunny. UK temperatures 1.4°C above average. End of driest first 6 months of the year since 1929. July was cloudy and fairly dry. August third wettest in East Anglia since modern records began in1914. September warm and sunny, with little rain. October, first frosts began. November heaviest UK snowfalls since 1933. Snow in Beds from 27 th. December brought freezing temperatures and snow until 28th.
