What is Key Club? Key Club is the oldest and largest service International Student Led Organization in the world. It is a service organization whose goal is to teach leadership through helping others. Students have the opportunity to serve their community and help improve society through this organization.
3
Why should you introduce Key Club to your school? Introducing Key Club to your high school will give students in your school the opportunity to serve their community and learn valuable leadership skills at the same time. They will be able to participate in service projects while building their character. It is a great way to show students that they can make a change in the world at such a young age. It shows how one small act really can improve the world. Not only is Key Club a great way to help your community, it is also a great way to meet new people, not only in your school, but across the nation.

How to charter a club? You need fifteen kids to officially charter your key club. You also need one faculty advisor from your school and a Kiwanis advisor from your Kiwanis Club. It is not necessary, but most Key Clubs have a sponsoring Kiwanis Club that pays for their chartering. If you are a community based Key Club, the Kiwanis/Faculty Advisor may serve a double role or the Kiwanis advisor may be from the community organization. The first year with chartering, you do not need to pay dues. After you are officially chartered, have a ceremony! Here the President of the Kiwanis Club will present you with your charter, you get to celebrate, and you can install the club's officers!
5
Why is Key Club important? Key Club is important because it gives students the opportunity to grow as people, and to see the importance in helping others. Whereas teenagers regularly would not want to go to community service events, Key Club pushes them to do so, it shows them that serving your community not only helps others, it also helps them to learn and improve as the future adults and workers in our society. Key Club give students the opportunity not only to improve their community, but to improve the world

ELIMINATE Eliminate Project Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes—nearly 60,000 newborn children every year along with a significant number of mothers. The effects of the disease are excruciating—tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. To eliminate MNT from the Earth, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. This requires vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million—and the dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis family.

Project HOPE is was started a few years ago and continues to be a statewide project. Key Clubbers contribute by volunteering at soup kitchens, hosting can drives, and participating in Kids against hunger walks and raising awareness.
