3 Let’s Learn Hebrew Purim in English means “Lots”

4 The King and I King Ahasuerus’ banquet Orders his wife Vashti to display her beauty. She refuses The King removes her from her as Queen.

5 Here Comes Esther Esther was orphaned at a young age. Her uncle Mordecai raises and helps her. She is made Queen. Esther does not reveal that she is Jewish.

6 Mordecai Discovers A Plot Mordecai discovers a plot to kill the king. The people are arrested and hanged. Nothing is done for Mordecai.

7 Haman is Prime Minister Ahasuerus appoints Haman as his prime minister. Mordecai becomes hated by Haman Haman plans to kill not just Mordecai but all the Jewish people.

8 Haman’s Plan Haman obtains permission to kill the Jews. He casts lots to choose the date on which to do this. 13 th of Adar. Mordecai and Esther discovers his plan. The people pray and fast.

9 Esther, the King and Haman Esther seeks an audience with the King She invites him to a feast in the company of Haman. She asks them to attend another feast the next evening.

10 The King Cannot Sleep Ahasuerus cannot go to sleep. The king learns of the services rendered by Mordecai. Haman appears and the king what should be done for the man. The king instructs Haman to honor Mordecai.

11 Haman’s Plot Revealed to the King At the second banquet Esther reveals Haman’s plan to kill the Jewish people, which includes her. Ahasuerus instead orders Haman hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. On 13 Adar, five hundred attackers and Haman's ten sons are killed in Shushan. On the 14th of Adar we celebrate Purim.

12 Yeshua and Purim According to sages, any day that is marked by special deliverance by the LORD can be called a "Purim." Yeshua sacrificed Himself on the cross brought us deliverance. Satan like Haman attempts to kills the Jewish people When Yeshua returns He will destroy the Evil One He will deliver Israel as her rightful King and Lord.

13 Esther 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

14 Standing with the Jewish People When people say jokes about Jewish people or for that matter anyone You need to stand-up and say that it is wrong. Be willing to do what is right even when it is difficult to do. Yet, she had courage and trust in God to say and do the right thing.

15 Evil People Evil people throughout history who wanted to kill the Jewish people Antiochus Epiphanes, ancient Greece Adolph Hitler, Germany Pres. Mahmud AHMADI-NEJAD, Iran The Evil One is behind this plan. The Evil One wants to kill, steal and destroy both the Jewish people and you! Yeshua defeated the Evil One and gave us the victory.

16 Sharing Messiah Yeshua Share the Good News of Messiah with all people. We must be brave to do and say the right thing There are many people who don’t know Messiah Yeshua as Savior and Lord.

17 Ways to Celebrate Purim is characterized by public reading of the Book of Esther. Gift giving of food and drink. Giving charity to the poor. Wearing of masks and costumes.

18 What Did We Learn Today? We learned about the events of Purim It is the Evil One wants to kill the Jewish People Yeshua defected the Evil One and gave us the victory
