Key People Haj Amin- 1921- most influential Arab in in Palestine. Created Supreme Moslem Council, and gained control over all of mosques, Muslim schools,. Instigates Arab Riots Hay Craft/Shaw Commission- investigated Arab Riots Winston Churchill- White Paper of 1922- calmed Arab fear that a Jewish State was going to be established in Palestine. Acknowledged historical right to settle there. Sir Hope Simpson- Arabs suffering from unemployment because of Jewish businesses only hiring Jews- – controversy
