Itinerary Thursday May 28 th 2015 Leave school at 8am approx. Please be at school at 7.50am The coach is due to arrive at 8am so if we are all there by then it is a quick process to load up and leave on time. Ferry Crossing- 16.40 Dover to Calais ref:14574687

Itinerary Friday May29th 2015 Ypres- Essex Farm Cemetery Flanders Field museum; the Menin Gate; chocolate shop! Tyne Cot and Langemark Cemeteries Hill 62 Trenches Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate

Itinerary Saturday May 30 th 2015 Somme 1916 Museum Lochnagar Crater Lunch will be near Lochnagar crater at a restaurant run by an ex Easingwold pupil cost £5 or 5.50Euros. Thiepval Monument Wellington Quarry

Itinerary Sunday May 31 st 2015 Vimy Ridge trenches, memorial. Leave at 11am Ferry –arrive in Calais 12.25 pm Ferry crossing 13.35 pm Arrive Dover approx 14.00 Arrive back at school 21.30 hours approx.

ESSENTIALS Passport and a copy to me by May 8 th European health Card Identity Card- provided by school Towel Small Pillow and blanket Old shoes or Wellingtons for visiting the trenches. Small amount of cash

Essentials A small pack up needed for the journey down to Dover and money (euros) to buy lunch in Ypres and Albert. A small bag for the coach and a bag with change of clothes. You may get muddy! A hat and sun cream maybe useful as will a waterproof coat. Phones, i-pods,, i-pads, hand held game consoles and DVD players but they are taken at your own risk. Books and magazines, a note book and pen Camera Wellies or change of shoes in a separate bag Booklet provided by the school

Information We are staying at Ypres Lodge Albert Dehemlaanlaan 19, B-8900, Ypres Belguim.- 15 pupils Phone- 003257217000 We will have the school mobile phone with us and Mrs Ventress Mr Butcher and will be our emergency contacts and will have the following mobile phone/number -07902238906. Mobile number- 07896 524113 It there are any problems pupils will contact parents via their mobile phones. Mrs Ventress and Mr Butcher would be informed of any difficulties as well.

Information –Any medication needed please inform us after the meeting. Mrs Willan and Mrs Thacker will be in charge of this. –Mrs Thacker and Mrs Leggott are trained first Aiders.

Important points The first day of travelling is long and tiring. It is important that pupils sleep on the first evening as the following day will be very busy. Pupils must keep to the designated paths and not wander off. There still is the danger of barbed wire and infection as well as unexploded bombs!! Lights out must be observed and kept to. Pupils will be sharing 3- 8 in a room. Listening to and following instructions is very important.
