Used to measure moisture content Measures the humidity of any gas such as air Francesco Folli invented the more practical hygrometer in1664 Some hygrometers use hair to determine moisture content They are sometimes used in incubators Leonardo da Vinci developed the first hygrometer in the 1400s

Galileo Galilei is one of the inventors Used to measure air temperature Is a closed glass tube with a scale(s) Mercury or alcohol are sometimes the liquid in the thermometer Experiented on in 1610 Not always used for weather
