WEIGH PLUS A Software for Weighing Systems

Features Weigh Plus is a S/W that is designed for weighing systems. It reads the weight (both Gross Weight and Tare Weight) automatically from the com port to which your weighing machine is connected and also automatically calculates the Net Weight. It allows the end-user to create the database and customize the form as per their requirement. It also allows user to generate various types of customized reports as per their requirement.

Hardware Requirement Digitiser/Weight indicator with serial port for data communication. RAM: 512 MB or above. HDD: Minimum 1GB of free space. Display: CGA/VGA with resolution of 600X800(minimum). Serial Port: com1 or com2. Printer : Dot Matrix Epson LX300,LX800 or compatible. Operating System: Windows NT, XP or above. Serial cable with 9pin D type female connectors on both sides (for connecting computer serial port with digitiser serial port).

LOGIN Specifies the current version installed Specifies the name of the organization to whom this product is licensed Specifies the copyright details of this S/W Enter Login ID and Password in the respective given fields after which the Ok button will be enabled. Click here to minimize the form

After providing Login ID and password click this Ok button to enter into the S/W and start doing transactions. After clicking Ok button it will check for whether the Login ID and Password provided are valid or not. If they are valid then only the main form of the S/W will be loaded from where you can proceed with your transaction else it wont allow you to get enter into the S/W. Click this Cancel Button if you don’t want to enter into the S/W. This will Close the S/W Login

After providing the valid Login ID and password in the Login form when you click Ok button the main screen appears in front of you which looks like the below. It shows the weight that is read from Weigh Bridge 1 It shows the weight that is read from Weigh Bridge 2 only if Weigh Bridge 2 is available and is also entered in Weigh Bridge Master

Company Master Select Company details sub menu under the Masters menu. Now Click on the Edit button present at the left bottom side of the form to change the company name and other details. After clicking the Edit button the form will appear like shown below. Do the respective changes in the entry as per your requirement. Now Click on the Save button present at the left bottom side of the form to save the changes you made in the company master. If you don’t want to save changes you made to the company master then click on the cancel button located at right to the save button to cancel the transaction. You can only keep one company details. To close this form you can click on Close button located at the right bottom of the form. * Note: Only Company Name is a compulsory field and rest are optional. If you want then you can leave them blank and click on the Save button to save the data.

Product Master S elect Product details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. To add a new product click on the Add button To change the existing product details either select the product name from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the product name in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a product details permanently select the product name from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of products click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button. It shows the list of products that are present

To add a new product details click on the Add button and enter the product name in the text box. After you enter the product name in the text box provided click on the Save button to save the product details.

To modify the product details select the product name from the list given below and click on the Edit button or you can also double click on the product details in the list. This will open the form as shown below with product name displayed in the text box. Make changes you want to do and then click on Save button to save the changes you made. If you don’t want to save the changes you made then you can click on Cancel button next to Save button.

To view the Product details click on the Preview button present left to close button. When you click on the Preview button present in the Product Master form then the report will appear like the figure given below. You can now take print out of this page or can send an email or can export to different formats (for ex. pdf, xls, xlsx, csv format etc)

S elect Transport details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. To add a new transporter details click on the Add button To change the existing transporter details either select the transporter details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the transporter details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a transporter details permanently select the transporter details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of transporter details click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button. Transporter Master

* Note: Only Transporter Name is a compulsory field and rest are optional. If you want then you can leave them blank and click on the Save button to save the data. To add a new Transporter details click on the Add button. When you click on the Add button the screen appears like the figure shown below. Enter all the details in the respective text boxes and click on Save button.

To modify the transporter details select the transporter details from the list given below and click on the Edit button or you can also double click on the transporter details in the list. This will open the form as shown below. Make changes you want to do and then click on Save button to save the changes you made. If you don’t want to save the changes you made then you can click on Cancel button next to Save button.

Weigh Bridger Master Select Weigh Bridge details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. To add a new weigh bridge details click on the Add button To change the existing weigh bridge details either select the weigh bridge details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the weigh bridge details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a weigh bridge details permanently select the weigh bridge details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To close the form click on the Close button. Only two weigh bridge details you can enter here. In Com Port list it will show you the list of Com Ports that are available in your system. Select only one com port for one weigh bridge.

Customer Master S elect Customer details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. To add a new customer details click on the Add button To change the existing customer details either select the customer details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the customer details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a customer details permanently select the customer details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of customer details click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button. To add, modify, delete or preview follow the same process as mentioned in Product Master and Transport Master.

Delivery Order Master S elect Delivery Order details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. This is used to store the Delivery Order details along with DO quantity, DO Expiry Date, Customer etc. In the list shown below the expired DO details as shown in pale violet red color. It also give the provision to renew the expiry date. When you select a particular DO details from list and click on Edit button, you will find one more field Renew Date. You can set the renew date there. One DO number can be assigned only to one customer. To add a new DO details click on the Add button To change the existing DO details either select the DO details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the DO details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a DO details permanently select the DO details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of DO details click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button.

Stack Master Select Stack details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. It is used to store the stack details along with their permission quantity and expiry date. To add a new Stack details click on the Add button To change the existing Stack details either select the Stack details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the Stack details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a Stack details permanently select the Stack details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of Stack details click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button. To add, modify, delete or preview follow the same process as mentioned in Product Master and Transport Master.

Tare Weight Register S elect Tare Weight details sub menu under the Masters menu. This will open the form as shown below. To add a new Tare Weight details of a vehicle click on the Add button To change the existing Tare Weight details either select the Tare Weight details from the list shown below and click on Edit button or you can double click on the Tare Weight details in the list. It will open in the Edit mode. To delete a Tare Weight details permanently select the Tare Weight details from the list shown below and click on the Delete button To view and take the print out of the list of Tare Weight details click on the Preview button. To close the form click on the Close button. To add, modify, delete or preview follow the same process as mentioned in Product Master and Transport Master.

It automatically reads the weight from the weighing machine. In this form you can find two buttons named as WB-1, WB-2. These are weigh bridge names that are provided in the master. If only one weigh bridge details is provided in masters then these buttons will not be available. If two weigh bridge details are given then in this form you can select either button to read the weight from that particular weight. If you select WB-1 then it will read from weigh bridge1 and if you will select WB-2 then it will read from weigh bridge2. While adding a record, the color of the text box of tare weight changes as per your weigh bridge selection. The expired tare weight details of a vehicle are provided in pale violet red in the list shown below like that of Delivery Order details. Here you will find two radio buttons (All Tare Weights, Latest Tare Weights). Select any of the option. If you select All Tare Weights then it will show all the tare weights of all vehicles till date and if u select Latest Tare Weights then it will show the latest tare weights of the vehicle.

Database Setting This is used to create a database. Select Internal Weighment menu from the menu bar then you can choose Field Creation & Setting. The same process can be done for External Weighment also. When you click on Field Creation & Setting menu, the form will appear as the figure as shown above.

Here you will find a list of Fields under Field Name. The field names from Vehicle No to Challan Wt are non editable. You cannot change the name, Field type, Field Size, Type of these fields. Fields from Vehicle No to Product (i.e. from field 1 to field 4 from top) are totally non-editable. From Transporter to Challan Wt (i.e. from field 5 to field 9 from top) you can only edit whether to display these fields or not and are these fields compulsory or not. Fields after Challan Wt are totally editable. You can give the field name as per your choice. Set the field type. If you set the field type as Text, make sure to give the field size which should be Max. that this field will accept. You can also give the type as whether this field will be an entry field or selection field. To make this field displayed in the entry form check the check box in Display column against that field name. same should be done for make the field compulsory. If you don’t want to display the field then uncheck the check box in the Display column against that particular field name. same should be done for not making a field compulsory. The same process is to be followed for creating database for External Weighment also.

Form Design To design the entry form click on Internal Weighment and select Form Design from the sub menu. It will display the screen as the figure given above. Here it will display only those fields that are created in the Field Creation & Display form and made display true. To make changes in the design click on the Customization button provided beside Save button.

When you click on the Customization button the screen will appear as the figure shown above. Now move the customization form that appears to side. Click the item in the form that you want to move from one position to another and drag it and place it in a new place. In this manner proceed with every fields you want to rearrange.

After you completed your design click on the save button. This will save your layout and when you will open the entry form, the entry form will be displayed in this manner. In this form you will find some extra fields that are not present in the Field Creations. These fields are compulsory fields.

If you have chosen Challan Wt in the field creation then you will get Challwan Wt difference field in this form. If you have selected DO Number in field creation then you will get DO Date, DO Expiry Date and DO Pending Qty field here. Same with the Stack Number also. If you have chosen it there then you will get Stack Expiry Date field and Stack Pending Qty. Net Weight is there to display the Net Weight. The Same process you have to follow for the External Weighment also.

Weighing T o make the weighment entry select weighing from the Internal Weighment Menu. This will display the form as the figure given above. The way you designed the layout, it will display in the same manner. To make the weighment entry click on the Add button. To edit the already entered record select the record from the list that will be displayed when you click on the show grid button. Select the record from there and click on edit button. To delete a record select it from the list and click on delete button. SHOW GRID Click this button to view the list and details of entries done on particular day.

Check this check box if you want to get the tare weight from the tare weight register. Check this check box if you want to save the tare weight of vehicle from here.

After you click add button you will find the weight is automatically displayed in the first weight field. It automatically keeps on reading from the weigh bridge. Here also you will find two buttons named as WB1 and WB2 as they were there in Tare Weight Register. If you have only one weigh bridge details entered in the Weigh Bridge Master then these buttons will not be displayed. If you select WB1 then it will read from weigh bridge 1 and if you select WB2 then it will read from weigh bridge 2. As per your button selection the color of the text box also changes. After giving all the details click on the save button. It is when the first weight is recorded. After saving each time it will prompt you whether you want to take the printout of the ticket or not. If you select Yes then it will take the printout of the ticket. Now when the vehicle comes back for the second weight then click on the Add button, you will find the list of Vehicles those second weight is not measured and is not closed. Now you select the vehicle from the drop down list in the Vehicle No field. It will automatically display all the details that were entered while taking the first weight along with the first weight and now it starts reading the second weight automatically from the weigh bridge and calculate the net weight also. Now click on the Save button to save the data. If Challan Weight is given then it will automatically calculate the Challan Weight Difference from the Net weight and will display it. Similarly if you have selected Stack number in field creation and selected the stack number from here then it will automatically display the stack pending qty and if the net weight exceeds the stack pending qty then it wont allow you to save the details. Same with the DO Number also.

If the first check box i.e. Use Tare weight is selected in the entry form then when you enter the vehicle no while taking the first weight, if this vehicle no is present in tare weight register and is not expired then it will ask you to whether you want to use the tare weight of this vehicle or not. If you select Yes then the tare weight of the vehicle will automatically be displayed in the first weight and it starts reading the second weight from the weigh bridge. After entering all the details click on the save button. Similarly if second check box i.e. save tare weight is selected in the entry form then when ever you save the data and if this vehicles tare weight is not present in the tare weight register or if this vehicles tare weight is expired or if the tare weight of this vehicle mismatches with the weight provided here, will prompt you whether you want to save the tare weight of this vehicle or not. If you click on Yes then it will automatically open the tare weight register form and will display all the fields automatically. You have to just select the expiry date and click on the save button. After that you will return back to this form. Similarly if you enter a new value customer name, or product name or transporter name or stack number or do number that is not present in the master, then firstly it will check whether the particular user who is doing the entry part is having privileges to add the new record in the respective master form. If so then it will open that respective field with all the details filled there. You just have to click on the save button to save the data. After this the control will come back to this form and you can proceed with your entry. The Same process is to be followed in External Weighment also.

Reports At the day end if you want to view the report then go to Internal Weighment and select Reports menu from there. It will display the form as a figure shown above. By default it will display all the fields that were created in the field Creation form. By default at the bottom the To date will be the current date and From date will be one month back date. It will display all the records between these dates. If you want then you can change the date also and click on the Filter button.

If you want to export this file to a text file then click on the Text file button. It will ask you for the path where you want to save the data. Give the path and click on the save button. It will export the file in Text format. Similarly if you want to export this data in Excel format click on the Excel file button. It will ask you for the path where you want to save the data. Give the path and click on the save button. It will export the data in the Excel format.

You can also filter the data and customize the report. Move your mouse to the right corner of the column header whose data you want to filter. You will find a key icon there. Click on the key icon then it will provide a drop down list with values as shown in the above figure, select the values that you want then it will filter the data as per the value. Now if you want to delete all those records once at a time then click on the Delete button. It will delete all the records at a time those are present in the list. To take a print out of the list after your filtering click on the preview button. Same process is to be followed for External Report also.

You can select custom from the drop down list as shown in the figure above. Then the custom form will appear as the figure shown in next slide. Give the condition as per your requirement and click ok. You can also have multiple conditions at a time. This will filter the data as per your requirement.

You can select any of the option from the drop down list and give the value in the text box provided against the condition. After that click on the Ok button which will filter the data as per your requirement.

To group the data according to a particular field move your mouse to that particular field and right click on that field. The pop up menu will appear. From there select Group By This Column option.

When you select Group By This Column then you will find grouping is been done. It will show the Group field name along with the value and the number of records that are present in that particular group. You can click on the + button to view the data under that particular value. You can also perform multiple grouping in the same way.

When you click on the preview button the report will appear as the figure shown below. You can take print out from here.

Change Password To change the password of the current login user click on the key icon displayed on the menu bar. Then the form will appear in front of you as shown below. Now enter the old password (current password), new password and confirm new password. To change password click this icon

After providing all the three text boxes click on the save button to change the password. If you don’t want to change the password then you can click on the close button. Before clicking save button make sure that the new password and confirm new password you entered should be same. Once you successfully changes your password close the S/W and run it again and login now with your new password.

User Details To create a new user and also to provide access permission to a particular user click on the user details button in menu bar. On clicking the user details button it will show the form as shown below. If you want to create a new user then click on Add button. If you want to set access permission to a particular user then select the user and set the access privileges. To create a new user or to set the access privileges to a particular user click this icon

After clicking Add button enter the user name, password and confirm password field and check whether the user is an active user or not as shown below. After that click on the save button. Make sure that the password and confirm password that you entered both matches.

After saving the user details now you can set access privileges to that particular user by checking the check boxes that are displayed in list. Only the checked forms can be accessed by that particular user and also only the particular activities can be performed that at particular user. For example as you can see the list Product Master is selected and all the three checkboxes for Add/View, Edit, Delete against the Product Master are selected. So this particular user can add new product, edit the existing product and also delete the product. You can also see the Stack Master is selected but only Add/View check box is selected against the stack master. So this user can only add the new Stack details but he cannot edit the existing stack details or cannot delete the stack details. You can also see Tare Weight Master is not selected. So this user cannot access this form at all. After selecting all the required check boxes you can click on the Set User Access button. This will set the access privileges to this user. Click this button to set access privileges to the user

Backup and Restore To take the backup of your database click on the floppy icon in the menu bar. It will show the back and restore form as shown below. Here you put the location where you want to keep the back of the database. Backup file name is automatically provided in backup file name along with the month and date of the backup taken. Click this button to take the backup of the database

After providing all the details as mentioned above, click on the Backup Data button. This will take the back up of the database and store it in the location that you provided.
