So the whale swam and swam, with both flippers and his tail, as hard as he could for the hiccoughs, and at last he saw the Mariner’s natal shore. In the sea, once upon a time, there was a Whale. The Stute Fish advised the Whale to taste Man. At last there was only one small Stute Fish. He ate all the fishes. The Whale found the ship-wrecked Mariner in the middle of the sea and swallowed him with the raft he was sitting on. Then the Man put the raft as a grating into the Whale’s throat and went out. The Man danced and jumped inside the Whale and made him swim to his natal shore. That’s why whales nowadays never eat men or boys or little girls.
