2 HABITAT n Beluga whales live in the arctic and the subarctic. In the summertime the Hudson Bay and Churchill river are full of belugas. Beluga whales are entirely arctic and subarctic mammal.

3 LIFE CYCLE n Beluga whales can live up to 30 years. Beluga whales have their babies in their stomach for 14 months and then the calves are born in August. The calves stay with their mom for two years.In fall beluga whales migrate south to the arctic.

4 CHARACTERISTICS n Beluga whales are to metros. the beluga whale looks like a chubby dolphin. You will only see beluga whales in the arctic and the subarctic. The beluga whale has very small teeth. The beluga whale is white and changes colors. Beluga whales are slow swimmers. The beluga's swim in-groups called pods. The beluga's are led by a male. The English name beluga comes from the name belukha. belukha means white.

5 Enemies&Defense n Beluga whales have under sea and land enemies.Beluga whales have a lot of enemies.An on land enemie is polar bear.An under water enemie is an orca.beluga whales have to be careful of their enemies.

6 Food n In the summer beluga whales feed on lots of different fish. Beluga whales use their teeth for grabbing not chewing.Beluga whales use their teeth for tearing their food. Beluga whales swallow their food hole.

7 Babies n Calves are born in March and September.Most calves are born May and July.
