What is Repetance mean? The most accurate definition of ``Repentance'‘ ``to change one's mind, thoughts, attitudes, feelings'' -- to the better, of course!

Repenting of sin is turning away from sin and turning to God.

Confession is: Telling God about All our sins and that we are sorry for what we have done. What is Confession mean?

CAN ANYONE REMMBER A FAMOUS REPETANCE and CONFESSION STORY IN THE NEW TESTMENT?

The story of the Prodigal Son shows the meaning of true repentance. When the prodigal returned to his father, he did say, “I’m sorry I did wrong’’ He fully confessed his own mistake and asked to be back to father’s house. REPETANCE IN THE NEW TEATMENT

REPETANCE IN THE OLD TEATMENT The king of Nineveh was calling upon all the people living in his city to cry out to God and turn from their wickedness.. He was pleading and hoping for God to turn away His punishment and show His mercy and kindness To them.

Why we confess? 1- ``just to confess'', 2-or because ``this is what everybody does'', 3 -or because ``we have to do it''.. 4- or ‘’nothing of the above’’ Choose the right answer?

We confess because we ``need'' to confess. Repentance and Confession are not a trial or a court. It is a shelter for sinners, a hospital. The one who confesses is not judged. He is surrounded by love, comfort, sincere interest; he is taken care of, healed, assisted, treated by the physician, instructed, and forgiven.

HOW I CAN REPENT and Confess? (HOW TO CHANGE ‘’ MY MIND, THOUGHTS, ATTITUDES,FEELINGS’’ )

The first step in order to change one's own mind is to admit that there is a need for a change. Admitting what we are doing wrong and feeling sorry for having committed them is the first part of Confession. I want to change for the better

The second step in order to change is to: Be honest in your confession and remember you are really confessing to God through the priest. God knows all that goes into your mind!

In order to find a ``way out'' of our sin we need advice. That's also achievable through confession. The third step:

The fourth step: in order to change one's own mind is ``to act''. we must take the necessary steps to change. Such steps must be prescribed to us through confession

The fifth step: After confession, you stand up and receive the absolution from God through the words of the priest. Be convinced that God has forgiven you and remember his words: ``Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'' [John 8:11].

Can i only confess directly to God?

CONFESSION 1-Confession to a priest benefits the confessing person as he receives instruction and advice from the priest, who is wise and experienced

2-The priest is not a judge who just condemn... He is a doctor, a loving father. He is an angel of freedom and forgiveness.

3-The Sacrament of Holy Confession is Holy because it's a sacrament between God and His children. The priest plays the role of the Bridge.

AND Myself AND The priest AND God ME Conclusion: Confession is between

when He said to His disciples: “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth, will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18). Also, after the Resurrection the Lord said : “‘As the Father sent me, I also send you.’ And when He said this He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any they are retained’” (John 20:21-23). Our Lord Jesus Christ founded the Sacrament of Confession TO the

Hints to help you with confession: 3-I should not only say all the bad or negative points but i should tell Abona possitive points too, so i can grow spiritually as well. 2-When you sit down next to your father of confession, forget your relationship to him and talk to him as if you were talking to God. 1-Make the sign of the cross, ask God to Help you to remember all sins.

A bubble bath has no effect on sin, it's only confession that can make you truly clean.

A little bit of mold can ruin a sandwich. Likewise, without confession, even a little bit of sin will keep us out of Heaven.

When there is true repentance and confession, remission is granted. Are you sure that my sins will be forgiven?

I do not need to confess, i am not a sinner? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT NEED TO CONFESS I am

No one is perfect. Sin is anything that goes against God's Will, even the little things we do that may not seem too bad. Little lies, a little cheating, pretending not to hear your parents call you, it is all sin. Everyone is a sinner

Sin can be a thought, an action, or even not doing something you should.

IS IT IMPORTANT TO CONFESS AND REPENT BEFORE COMMUNION? Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Sermon on the Mount said: "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." [Matthew 5:23-24].

Oh my God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong And failing to do good, I have sinned against you, whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to sin no More, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Have mercy. Amen Example of what you need to say to God after confession:

Confession Guide for Children : (take home ) Did I pay attention at Mass? Have I fooled around in Church? Did I say my prayers every day? Did I say mean things to my mom or dad? Did I always say "Thank You" to people? Am I hard to get along with (during school, at Grandma's, at home?)? Did I do what my mom and dad told me to do? My teacher? Was I lazy around the house? Did I do my chores? Did I hurt others people's feelings by calling them bad names? Have I started fights with my brothers and sisters at home? Have I blamed other people for things I do? Did I get other people into trouble? Do I hit people when I get mad? Have I forgiven people? Or am I holding a grudge? Have I cheated or been unfair in games? Did I refuse to play with someone for no good reason? Was I was lazy about my schoolwork? Did I fail to do my homework? Did I cheat in school? How many times did I lie to my parents? My teachers? My friends? Did I take anything that didn't belong to me? Did I avoid medicine? Did I refuse to eat food I didn't like?
