State Top to Bottom Ranking Student Proficiency and Improvement ▫Based on all tested subjects (math, reading, writing, science and social studies) ▫Includes MEAP/MME and MI-Access ▫Two-year average percent proficient ▫Improvement: 2 year increasing or decreasing or four year slope Student Graduation Rates and Improvement

Persistently Lowest Achieving (PLA) Schools List Any school appearing on the PLA list will be considered unaccredited

Additional Factors Do 100% of the school staff hold the necessary Michigan certification? Is the school’s annual School Improvement Plan published? Are required curricula offered? Is a fully compliant Annual Report published? Have the Performance Indicators or equivalent been submitted? Are literacy and math tested annually in grades 1-5? If the school was designated for participation in NAEP, did the school participate? Did the school test at least 95% of eligible students in every subject tested?

Additional Information - Dashboard Schools, districts, community and/or state information This data will not be used in MI-SAAS calculations Data already collected by the state (financial, enrollment, etc.) Information voluntarily submitted by local schools and districts (e.g., points of pride)

Sunset Clause MI-SAAS includes school ranking there will always be at least 5% of schools unaccredited MI-SAAS will be revised when at least 80% of students are scoring proficient or higher in at least 80% of Michigan schools, on cut scores tied to college and career readiness
