3.  Collage: This is done by hand-painting papers that are cut out and put together to make a picture to go with a story. The picture texturing techniques were all designed for immediate success even for those with little or no art background.  Gives a sense of ownership and pride.  Discover their story.  “I soon found that students’ engagement in the paper-texturing process led to sense of ownership and pride not only over the colorful and varied papers they created but also over the stories that grew out of these hand-painted papers.” HAND-PAINTED COLLAGE
