5 Cigarette butts are the most littered item in America, and extremely harmful to our communities, our wildlife, and ourselves. The cellulose acetate in filter never completely decomposes and they are full of hazardous compounds such as cadmium, arsenic, and lead. Littered butts can end up in waterways or can even re-ignite, making them a fire hazard. You can get a citation for littering cigarette butts! The People of County are Sick of Looking at Your Butts!
