Jane Austen was born December 16th, 1775 at Steventon, Hampshire, England She was the seventh child (out of eight) and the second daughter (out of two), Her parents were not rich and could not give their children much to get live on. Setting and Point of View The setting time was some time during the Napoleonic Wars (1797–1815) and the place was Longbourn, in rural England. The story is mainly told from Elizabeth Bennet’s point of view.
