Preventing Conflicts: It is not always easy to prevent conflict, but it is possible. Like a balloon that is inflated too much, anger can build up inside you until the pressure makes you explode.The best way to prevent problems is to: Recognize Conflict Early Control Your Anger Ignore Some Conflicts

Fight Stoppers: *Do something creative and unexpected. Example: write a friendly note. *Offer the other person a way out of the conflict by proposing a truce or a compromise. *Apologize for your part in the conflict.

Fighting Fair: There are ground rules when arguing fairly: 1. Focus on behaviors, not personalities. 2. Don’t bring up past hurt or anger. 3. Don’t resort to name-calling. 4.
