Context Prismarockians have recently invaded Earth. Fortunately they have come to live and peace and coexist with humans. While living on Earth they and becoming 1/3 of the population they have learned to enjoy human activities.
4
Design brief One activity they have come to enjoy is entertainment, more specifically video gaming. However, Prismarockians have different hands than humans do. As a result they find it very difficult to use human gaming controllers. I have been hired by XBOX to design and build a video game controller that fits prismarockian hands.
5
Introduction How do the shapes of these controllers differ? Which controller do you think will feel more comfortable in your hands?
6
Who designs controllers? Human Factors Engineering- The study of people and their relationship with the environment around them. Human Factors Engineering = Ergonomics Anthropometrics- branch of ergonomics that deals with designing products to correct size of users
