St Paul’s Cathedral St Pauls Cathedral is a big church in London. It is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of London. It is the most well known church in London. Many famous weddings have been attended there.

St Paul’s Cathedral building The architect was Sir Christopher Wren. St Paul’s Cathedral was built between 1675-1701. It was built over the medieval cathedral which was destroyed in the big fire in London 1666. The Cathedral’s ground plan is formed as a Latin cross. It is 139 meters long & 30 meters wide.

St Paul’s Cathedral destruction The cathedral made it through World War Two. it was hit by bombs 10 th of October 1940 and 17 th of April 1941 but wasn’t completely destroyed.

St Paul’s Cathedral famous people Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer got married in the cathedral. Elisabeth II got married in the cathedral as well. Sir Hubert Parry, sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens and sir Alexander Flemming got buried in the cathedral.

London Eye London Eye is a Paris wheel in London. It is a popular tourist attraction. It takes about half an hour to do a tour in the London Eye. The wheel as 32 gondolas and They can take up to 25 passengers each. Under a day the London Eye can take up to 15 000 passengers. There is a regular ticket and a fast track ticket.

London Eye building The architect is the Marks Barfields family. It was built to celebrate the millennium shift (1999-2000) It was built on Thames south side. It is 135 meters tall. You can see the view 40 kilometres in all directions. The wheel is built the same way as a bike wheel with spokes.
