Equate it to another huge Roman event Triompe – Emperor’s coronation and declaring to be a living god – Started with Caesar Augustus – called the Lord’s Day Taken from priests of Dionysus – who dies and comes back to life each year

Mark ‘s Triumph Account Praetorian guard – Full company of soldiers Gather early in the morning Mark 15:16 – The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers.
