The Application towards Spiritual Renewal God’s desire for Wilmot Centre… The GRANDER VISION - The call of Pastor and Leaders -Ephesians 4:11-13 Commanded to Make Disciples - Matthew 28:18-20 Ministering to the Marginalized - Matthew 25:31-46 ROMANS 12:1, 2 HOW do we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice – and HOW are our minds renewed which leads to transformation…

It all begins with Jesus – LUKE 4:14-21 FIRST: receive Jesus Christ – personal Lord and Savior John 3:16, 17 `For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.` Colossians 2:15 `And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.`

SECONDLY :give ourselves over to the Lord II Corinthians 8:5 `And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God`s will.` I Corinthians 6:13 `Food for the stomach and the stomach for food – but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.` I Corinthians 6:19b, 20 `You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.`

Jesus is the only sacrifice of atonement for all! Hebrews 9:28a `…so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people…` I John 2:2 `He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the world.` THIRDLY: presenting myself to God – receive full work of the cross – act of the will… II Thessalonians 1:12 `We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.`

Our bodies – very being – depths of our hearts & will devoted to God IS a living sacrifice! I Corinthians 6:19a `Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God.` 1.Acknowledge – Christ work cross – salvation 2.Repent – receive His forgiveness – act of will 3.Seek the in-filling, baptism of the Holy Spirit 4.Surrender – submit EVERYTHING = victory! 5.Willing to be a servant – not your own 6.Trust Him – know what`s best as living sacrifices

Proverbs 3:5 `Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.` `Be transformed by the renewing of your minds.` Sanctification: consecrate, make or observe as holy; free from sin Renewing of our minds in Christ - NEW heart, Spirit, disposition, inclinations, sympathies, understanding, conscience softens, wills bowed to the will of God = MADE NEW!

Isaiah 43:18, 19b `Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it.` II Corinthians 5:17 `Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!` We are not who we once were… Act upon God`s new principles. His new rules now govern our hearts as we belong to Him and Him alone.

Ephesians 4:22-24 `To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.` A new way of living our lives – God transforming us – II Corinthians 3:18 `And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord`s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.`

Renewing – avoiding the enemy – no foothold – conforming to this present age or world Ephesians 2:1, 2 `As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.` People we know – walking in sin – entice us, we must NOT consent to them – witness against this and to them. PSALM 1

HOW then are we transformed with the renewing of our minds… 1.Like - bodies – salvation, justified, sanctified 2.Our souls, hearts changed – working of the Holy Spirit – actively seek His will 3.Not who we once were: Eph. 2:10 `For we are God`s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.` 4.Prayer – Word – Fellowship = transformation 5.Avoid – flee things – enemy: Genesis 4:7b… 6.Do not walk, sit, stand – be salt and light MATTHEW 5:13-16

The HOW – APPLICATION of ROMANS 12:1, 2 Practical in nature BUT – hard work, on-going awareness & discernment, prayer, Word study, teachable spirit, humility, boldness, rely – be filled with the Holy Spirit, willingness to submit to God`s will – EVERYTHING! Willing – apply these principles then and only then = presentation of our bodies & transformation – the renewing of our minds – power, presence and person of the Holy Spirit!
