4 The name “dollar” originally comes from the word “Spanish dollar,” which was used for a Spanish coin. These Spanish coins were circulated during the 18th century in the Spanish coin. These Spanish coin were circulated during the 18th century in the Spanish colonies of America and Asia, as well as in the English Thirteen Colonies and later the U.S. and Canada. After the USA became independent, its money became known as the dollar. However, the word “dollar” has been used in many countries in Europe even before that.

5 Beside the United States, many other countries also use the name “dollar” for their money. They include Australia, Barbados, the Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Brunei, Canada, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Fiji, Hong King, Jamaica, Liberia, Namibia, New Zealand, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zimbabwe.

6 However, the United States dollars, or US dollar, is the most widely known dollar. It is the strongest currency=(money) in the world. It is also the currency used in most of the international transactions=(business deal). Nevertheless=(Despite of that), because of the large budget deficits=(shortage) of the United States government and home loan problems, the Eurodollar market has expanded worldwide.
