Be a Salesman Target administration, parents, prospective students as well as fellow teachers in order to familiarize those people with the Chinese language. Be positive. Be energetic.

Clear up Misconceptions Chinese is much more difficult than other languages. Chinese grammar is much easier than other languages.

Clear up Misconceptions Chinese logographs are very complicated simply cannot be learned. Chinese logographs “portray” meaning rather than words, which “denote”.

Clear Up Misconceptions Too many characters!! Chinese characters are easier to learn as one continues to study. 学生,学校,校长 校外,外国

In the Classroom Success of class will be determined in the first few minutes if not seconds. Enable student accomplishment on the first Day

Set the Bar High Students seek the level of the class. If level is too low, students will become bored and feel little or no sense of achievement.

Strive for “Quality” over “Quantity” Do not assign “busy work”. Classes should be fun and the student should want to attend.

Focus on all Language Components Writing Speaking Reading Listening
