20 Wildlife management with Galiot WLM 20 SERIOUS MULTIPLE STRIKE WHAT IS A SERIOUS MULTIPLE BIRDSTRIKE? A serious multiple strike is defined as an incident in which more than 2 birds were struck and more than 10 seen OR when more than 10 birds were struck.

22 Wildlife management with Galiot WLM 22 RISK IN THE AVIATION SYSTEM  How to manage risk? Managing of risk is associated three components (exposure, likelihood and severity). EXPOSURE (habitat management at the airport) PROBABILITY (detection and bird harassment) SEVERITY (aircraft engines that can adsorb energy from a bird strike, stronger windshields, training pilots in case of bird strikes, etc.)  When we successfully manage all three components, only then we can say that our system is optimized.
