2. Congruent Figures  Definition- Have the same shape and same size. All corresponding segments and angles are congruent.

3. Example: Congruent Figure -Are these figures similar or congruent figures? -Even though the shapes are turned in different directions, they are still both congruent, meaning exactly the same size and shape.

4. Similar Figures  Definition- Have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.

5. Example: Similar Figures -Are these figures similar or congruent figures? -Notice how the figures are similar because they are still the same shape, but not the same size. If they were the same size and shape, they would be congruent figures.
