3  Yes there are unions for correctional officers in California  The correctional officers union in California has been here since 1957.  An accomplishment that the California correctional officers union has done is becoming one of the most powerful unions in the state.  There has never been problems with this union

4  The outlook over the next several years is to promote and enhance the correctional profession.  A service correctional officers provide is guarding criminals in prison.  Everyone pays for this through taxes.  You do have to relocate yourself to wherever the prison you work at is at.

5  I don’t think technology Is going to take over some day to were we don’t need correctional officers.  There is really no competition in this career.
