5. Cells must get rid of their waste or they will die
Cells must get rid of their waste or they will die. Cells get rid of their waste by dumping it into the blood. Every cell lives next to a tiny blood vessel (capillary).

9. The cellular waste products are sent from the kidneys as urine (a yellow liquid) in tubes called jjjjjjjjjjjjureters, or urine tubes.

10. The ureters take urine to a bag-like muscle called the bladder where it is stored until we go to the bathroom.

11. Every fifth grader should know that the kidneys clean the blood (remove the cellular waste).
